Who I am
Hey yall, so my name is Alexis but I like to go by Lex! I'm currently 27 and from a small town in central Texas, but currently living in Fort Worth, Texas. If I had to describe myself, I would probably say that I'm super down to earth and love to help anyone that I can. Also I love anything makeup or fashion related. I really love being creative with everything I do.
What inspired me to start writing
I started writing in middle school. I would write short fiction stories in my free time, they were pretty basic at the time but it felt good to create something out of nothing. That then progressed to writing fiction stories on wattpad (if you know you know lol). Then finally I found poetry around 2014. Poetry has always been a way for me to release my feelings in a healthy way. I even started a poetry page on instagram and found an amazing poetry community back when the new age of poetry was really just starting. I'm happy to still have a place within this community and to have come so far from where I started.
What the future holds
My dream has always been to have my book in a store (preferably a barnes and noble endcap). One day that will definitely happen! But until then i'm happy being self published and able to say that i've created my books 100% myself. I also plan to write a fiction book some time in the future. Truly writing a fiction book has always been one of my goals and so it will be a reality one day! Also in the future I hope many people are inspired to not hold in their emotions because doing so only causes more pain. We have to let out what we hold inside at some point and writing is a perfect way to do that. (also fun fact: it doesn't have to be perfect😉)
